We totally understand how frustrating it can be when our update schedules don't meet your expectations. The confusion often grows when players see different timelines for updates in other regions, leading to questions about why Western players haven’t received certain changes yet. So, let’s clarify the situation and explain how we’re addressing these concerns.
Understanding the Balance Patch Timeline
After the latest roadmap updates, many of you pointed out that the Western version of Lost Ark will not enjoy balance patches in December, with those updates now slated for a February release instead. We recognize that this has caused disappointment and anxiety among players, and we want to shed some light on why this is happening.
It’s crucial to mention that the Chinese version of Lost Ark, often used as a benchmark by players, currently lacks the Ark Grid system. This absence has allowed for a smoother and faster integration of upcoming balance adjustments into their version of the game. On the other hand, our December calendar brims with content: the Elixir/Transcendence Removal, Solo Kazeros Act 2 & 3, seasonal activities, and various year-end events. These commitments created technical hurdles and scheduling conflicts that originally delayed the integration of balance patches until February.
But here’s where it gets interesting! We hear you loud and clear. Your feedback has been brought directly to Smilegate RPG, and together, we've explored options to expedite this timeline. Excitingly, we’re now able to implement the balance patches sooner than expected.
Introducing an Accelerated Release for Balance Patches
Thanks to your input, we are pleased to announce that both Korea's October and December balance patches will be included in the January update. While this change won't happen overnight, we are making strides to accelerate the release, ensuring that Western players gain access to these critical balance adjustments much sooner than our initial plan outlined. We know how vital balance patches are to maintaining the freshness and competitiveness of classes, and we genuinely appreciate your passion and advocacy for timely updates. Your feedback has played a pivotal role in shaping this decision, and we remain dedicated to listening and adapting whenever possible.
